How amazing is it to have a good friend? Someone who likes you for you. No pretending, nothing you say or do will change their opinion of you. You can complain, laugh, tease, forget to call them back – It does not matter! They are all in! This type of person in your life is rare and greater than any prize or accomplishment you’ll ever receive. They call you on your crap, and pull you up when you begin to spiral.
If you have someone like this in your life, let them know how much they mean to you. (Right now!) And realize that being this type of friend to others is life changing.

One day back in 2022, Spencer said in a staff meeting, “I want to think of a way to make billing a little nicer for our clients. Nobody likes to open a bill, especially for architectural services.” And thus, Spencerisms were born. That’s an internal name we initially gave these short notes Spencer writes to our clients each month, if they receive a bill. The name stuck, only because we couldn’t think of anything else that fit. We hope you’ll enjoy these bits of encouragement (or simple thoughts) Spencer shares each month.
